DRP Heat Band
The Heat Band is a contemporary rock band comprised of Durham Regional Police officers and volunteers from Durham Regions local music scene.

With the assistance of it's many community partners including PADAN, local Rotary and Optimist Clubs, Kids Help Phone, Bullying.Org and Oshawa City Council to name a few, the band brings it's "I am Who I am" tour to local elementary schools free of charge.

The Heat Band promotes Bullying.Org and the Kids Help Phone. The band's objective, in partnership with educators and parents, is to help reduce youth violence through education and to provide a relaxed atmosphere conducive to encouraging students to talk about issues that concern them.

Bullying.Org is a comprehensive Canadian website that provides information, advice and support to people directly or indirectly affected by bullying.

The band is also available for community and charity events but booking must take place will in advance of an event. Please see “How we Operate” for further information or contact PC Scott Dargie at sdargie@drps.ca.
