| The Durham Regional Police Service, Durham Regional Police Association and the Oshawa Generals Hockey Club teamed up in an effort to show their ongoing support towards our men and women of the Canadian Armed Services.
At the game on Feb. 7th, Chief Ewles and Cst. Rice presented Captain Redlarski and Master Corporel Riley with a DRPA jersey, in appreciation of their service to the country. A percentage of ticket sales from the game was donated help fund various programs that assist fallen or wounded soldiers and their families.
A tribute was also sent out to members of the Ontario Regiment out of Oshawa. Some of their reservists have completed tours in Afghanistan while others are still serving overseas.
