  Holiday Hours and Safety Tips

Durham Regional Police would like to wish the public a safe and happy holiday season.

When travelling, please slow down and give yourself lots of time to get to your destination safely. Be sure your fluids are topped up and your car is clear of snow or ice before you depart. And if you plan to drink alcohol during your celebrations, please have a designated driver, take a taxi or public transit, or spend the night.

Thank you for all your donations to our annual Food and Toy Drive, which has now closed. Your gifts will be delivered to needy families across Durham Region.

Please note the follow holiday hours of operation for public information:

Police Records Checks
The Police Record Check and Processing Centre, located at Regional Headquarters, 605 Rossland Road East, in Whitby, will be closed December 23, 26, 27, and 30, 2016 as well as January 2, 2017. Members may still attend local divisions to apply for a police record check, however processing of any applications will not be commenced until the next business day. We will be open to the public at Regional Headquarters on December 28 and 29, 2016 from 8:00 until 17:00. Normal business operations will resume on January 3, 2017.

Collision Reporting Centre
The Collision Reporting Centre (CRC), located at 650 Rossland Road East in Whitby across from Regional Headquarters, will have the following modified hours:
Saturday, December 24: 10:00-15:00
Sunday, December 25: Closed
Monday, December 26: Closed
Tuesday, December 27 to Friday, December 30: Regular hours (7:00-21:00)
Saturday, December 31: 10:00-15:00
Sunday, January 1: Closed
Monday, January 2: Regular hours (7:00-21:00)
