DRPS Celebrates 50th Anniversary

This year, Durham Regional Police proudly marks its 50th anniversary, and we are excited to share this significant milestone with our community. This occasion represents five decades of unwavering dedication, service, and collaboration with the residents we are proud to serve.

Throughout these 50 years, the Durham Regional Police have played a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our community. Our journey has been defined by a steadfast commitment to protecting and serving the community we call home.

Today we are launching of our 50th-anniversary microsite. The site, accessible at https://50th.drps.ca/home, serves as a digital hub to explore our history and milestones. Furthermore, we encourage you to share your own stories from the last 50 years. Submissions can be sent to 50th@drps.ca.

There are other ways to connect and celebrate, including a special Community Event June 15 at Iroquois Park in Whitby. The event will not only pay tribute to our history but will also provide valuable opportunities for our community to come together and connect.

We extend a warm invitation for you to join us in celebration, whether attending special events, sharing your cherished memories, or simply taking a moment to recognize the hard work and dedication of the remarkable men and women who serve our community as members of the DRPS.

Thank you for being a part of our journey, we will continue our commitment to making Durham a safe and vibrant place to work, live and play.
