Male Arrested after Making Death Threats

A male has been charged after threatening to shoot another male and making false allegations of assault in Clarington.

On Sunday September 17, 2023, members of East Division attended a residence in the area of King Street East and Victoria Street in Oshawa, after the suspect called police to report an assault. The suspect stated he was in possession of nine firearms which he would use to kill the male. Police confirmed there were no assaults, and attended the suspect’s residence. Following a lengthy negotiation the suspect was taken into custody. The suspect’s mother attempted to interfere with the arrest and was also taken into custody.

Bobby BICKLE, age 32, of Clarington, has been charged with Uttering Threats, Public Mischief.

Cindy BICKLE, age 60, of Clarington, has been charged with Obstruct Peace Officer.

Bobby BICKLE was held for a bail hearing. Cindy BICKLE was released on an undertaking.
