Two Females Charged for Debit and Credit Card Theft and Fraud in Ajax
DRPS’ Help Solve a Crime has helped investigators locate and arrest two female suspects.
On Tuesday, September 26, 2023, members of West Division responded to a theft at the Wal-Mart located at 270 Kingston Road East in Ajax. The victim had her wallet stolen by an unknown female while she was shopping. The victim’s debit and credit cards were later used at various locations in Ajax and Toronto for fraudulent purchases. Investigators tracked the purchases and identified two female suspects and a suspect vehicle. With the help of DRPS’s Help Solve a Crime both females were arrested.
Shayla ROGERS, age 22 from Ajax is charged with: Theft Under $5000, Fraud Under $5000, and Possess Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000.
Samantha STEVENS, age 47 from Ajax is charged with: Theft Under $5000, Fraud Under $5000, and Possess Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000.
Both were released on an Undertaking.
