Uber Driver Robbed at Gunpoint

Two suspects are wanted for an armed robbery in Whitby.

On Monday, November 27, 2023, at approximately 6:20 a.m., members of Central West Division responded to an armed robbery call in the area of Springwood Street and Dundas Street East in Whitby.  A driver for Uber had parked his vehicle on the roadway to take a break.  Two males knocked on the driver’s window while the victim was parked and brandished a knife and firearm while demanding money.  The males took the victim’s cash and fled on foot.

The first suspect is described as: male, approximately 5’6”-5’8”.  He was wearing a blue surgical mask, grey hoody, and grey sweatpants.

The second suspect is described as: male, approximately 5’4”-5’6”.  He was wearing a blue surgical mask, grey hoody, and grey sweatpants.
