Arrest Leads to the Seizure of a Firearm

The arrest of a violent offender wanted for failing to comply with his release order has resulted in the seizure of a firearm in Ajax.

On Wednesday, July 2, 2025, members Central East Criminal Investigation Branch concluded Project Ruins, an investigation into a violent offender. With the assistance of the Tactical Support Unit, officers executed a Criminal Code search warrant at a residence in the area of Rossland Road West and Marsh Lane. The suspect was arrested without incident. A search of the residence resulted in the seizure of a firearm and an overcapacity magazine.

Sheldon EMMANUEL, age 29, of Ajax is charged with multiple offences, including: Possess Prohibited or Restricted Firearm Knowingly Not Holding a License, Possess Loaded Regulated Firearm, Careless Storage of Firearm, Possess Firearm While Prohibited and Fail to Comply.

At the time of his arrest, EMMANUEL was wanted for Fail to Comply x 2 and on a bench warrant for Failing to Return to Court.

He was held for a bail hearing.
