Loaded Firearm and Drugs Seized from Residence in Oshawa

Two males are in custody for firearm and drug possession after a police investigation in Oshawa. One of the males was on bail for previous firearm charges and both were prohibited from possessing a firearm as result of other release conditions.

On Friday, March 28, 2025 at approximately 11:20 a.m., members of Central East Division responded to a disturbance in the area of Simcoe Street North and King Street East. Officers received information that there were two unwanted males at the residence and that one of the males was in possession of a firearm. Both males fled the residence before police attended.

Police conducted a search of the residence and located a loaded 9mm handgun and ammunition. A quantity of drugs including more than 140 grams of fentanyl and 25 grams of crack cocaine were also seized.

The two male suspects were arrested a short distance away without incident.

Emmanuel WIEHLER, age 24, of no fixed address is charged with multiple offences, including: Possess Loaded Regulated Firearm; Possess Firearm While Prohibited; Possession For The Purpose Of Trafficking Schedule 1(Fentanyl); Possession For The Purpose Of Trafficking Schedule 1 (Cocaine); Fail To Comply With Release Order x8.

At the time of his arrest, WIEHLER was on bail for previous firearm charges and wearing an electronic monitoring device.

Anfernee FARRELL-LUKE, age 27, of Toronto is charged with multiple offences, including:  Possess Loaded Regulated Firearm; Possess Firearm While Prohibited; Possession For The Purpose Of Trafficking Schedule 1(Fentanyl); Possession For The Purpose Of Trafficking Schedule 1 (Cocaine); Fail To Comply With Probation Order and Fail To Comply With Undertaking.

At this time of his arrest, FARRELL-LUKE was on Probation and prohibited from having any weapons.

They were both held for bail hearings.
