Male and Female Arrested Following Human Trafficking Investigation

A male and female are facing numerous charges following an investigation by the DRPS Human Trafficking Unit (HTU).
In July, 2025, the DRPS Human Trafficking Unit began an investigation into a male and female who were believed to be trafficking a female victim. The suspects recruited the victim through social media by offering her a luxury lifestyle. All of the victim’s movements were tracked and she was forced to make a large cash quota weekly for the suspects. The suspects withheld the victim’s identification documents and transported her to multiple locations across Ontario, before she was able to flee and contact police.
On Thursday, September 18, 2025, the Human Trafficking Unit concluded their investigation and executed search warrants at multiple locations. The male and female suspect were located and taken into custody without incident.
Police have concerns there may be further victims. Photos of the suspects are attached.
Weyyon BROWN, age 38, of Toronto is charged with: Trafficking in Persons, Withhold Identity Documents, Receiving Material Benefit, Procuring, Exercise Control, Direction, or Influence, Criminal Harassment, and Forgery.
Eve ADAM, age 26, of Toronto is charged with: Receiving Material Benefit, Procuring, Exercise Control, Direction, or Influence, and Criminal Harassment.
Both were held for a bail hearing.
