Police Seize Firearm at Pickering Casino Hotel
A female is in custody after a firearm was located in a hotel room in Pickering.
On Sunday, May 4, 2025, at approximately 3:35 p.m., members of West Division responded to a call at the Pickering Casino Hotel located at 888 Durham Live Avenue. Hotel staff called police to report that they had located a firearm in one of the hotel rooms.
Investigation led to the identification of two suspects who were guests of the hotel.
On Monday, May 5, 2025, at approximately 12:25 a.m., members of the West Division Criminal Investigative Branch executed a Criminal Code search warrant. A M4A1 Carbine and a fully loaded magazine were seized.
One of the suspects was arrested without incident. A second male suspect remains outstanding. A warrant for his arrest is being sought.
The investigation remains ongoing.
