UPDATE #1 – Two Males Arrested in Connection to Ajax Shooting

Two males have been arrested in connection to a shooting in Ajax that left a male with serious injuries.

 On Sunday, July 6, 2025, at approximately 10:20 p.m., members of West Division responded to an armed person call in the area of Commercial Avenue and Hunt Street. Police arrived on scene and located one male victim who was suffering from a gunshot wound. The male was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre with serious injuries.

Members of the West Crime Team have made two arrests in connection to the shooting.

James MCDONALD, age 39, of Oshawa, is charged with: Aggravated Assault; Use Firearm – Commit Indictable Offence; Possess Firearm While Prohibited; Point a Firearm; Discharge Firearm – Intent to Wound; Disguise with Intent and Possess Weapon Dangerous to Public Peace.

Logan CAMERON, age 35, of No Fixed Address, is charged with: Aggravated Assault; Occupy Motor Vehicle with Firearm and Disguise with Intent.

They were held for bail hearings.
