UPDATE #2: Arrest Made in Fatal Shooting at Ajax GO

A 33- year old male has been arrested in Durham Region’s fourth homicide of 2025.

On Sunday, June 22, 2025, at approximately 11:30 p.m., members of West Division responded to the Ajax GO lot, located at 100 Westney Road South, for an assist ambulance call. Officers arrived on scene where there was an unconscious male suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre where he has since succumbed to his injuries.

On Thursday, June 26, 2025, Clifford Matthew BARRAS, age 33, of Ajax, was arrested and charged with: Second Degree Murder.

He was held for a bail hearing.
