Update # 2 Suspect Wanted After Armed Robbery in Oshawa

A 41-year-old male has been arrested in connection to four armed robberies.

Between April 6 and April 24, 2025, a series of robberies took place in Whitby and Oshawa. In all incidents, the suspect pointed a black handgun at the store employees. The suspect stole cash, cigarettes, cannabis products and lottery tickets from various locations.

Investigators, with the assistance of Ontario Lottery and Gaming, were able to identify the suspect. On June 11, a Criminal Code search warrant was executed at the suspect’s residence in Oshawa. Officers seized a replica firearm, cannabis products and a quantity of psilocybin. The suspect was arrested without incident.

Michael VIEIRA, age 41 of Oshawa, is facing numerous charges including: Robbery with an Offensive Weapon x 4; Point Firearm x 4; Use imitation Firearm in Commission of an Offence x 4; Disguise with Intent x 4; Possession of Property Obtained by Crime x 4; Possess Weapon Dangerous to Public Peace x 4 and Possess Schedule III Substance for Trafficking x 1

He was held for a bail hearing.
