On August 22, 2025, the Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) proudly celebrated the graduation of 100 youth from the Summer Youth in Policing (YIP) Initiative. 

On Monday, August 18, the Durham Regional Police Service proudly welcomed 25 new recruits during a graduation ceremony in Ajax.

From August 5 to 7, the Durham Regional Police Service’s (DRPS) Youth in Policing (YIP) Initiative proudly hosted its 16th annual Junior YIP Leadership Camp — a free, three-day program for youth ages 10 to 13.

Durham Regional Police Service’s (DRPS) Youth in Policing (YIP) program hosted its 18th Annual Ripple Effect Youth Forum on July 24, 2025.

DRPS is thrilled to welcome a new team to our K9 Unit. The DRPS K9 Unit is pleased to announce that Constable Marissa Galipeau and Police Service Dog (PSD) Koa have completed their basic patrol certification and are ready to report for duty.
