AIR1 Locates Male Who Appears to Avoid RIDE and Flees on Foot in Newcastle
A male is facing charges after he appeared to avoid a RIDE check and fled from police on foot in Newcastle.
On Saturday, December 20, 2025, at approximately 10:00 p.m., members assigned to the RIDE Unit observed a vehicle appearing to avoid the RIDE line. A short time later, the vehicle was located abandoned in a Clarington Fire Station parking lot. Officers, with the assistance of AIR1, searched the area and located the driver fleeing on foot through a field.
He was subsequently taken into custody without incident.
Additionally, AIR1 located the suspect’s car keys and a quantity of cocaine, as he fled through the field.
Enrique Scott WILLIAMSON, age 26 from St. Catharines is charged with: Obstruction of Justice, Possession of Schedule I Substance (cocaine), Have Cannabis Readily Available, Driving While Under Suspension, and Breach Probation.
