Driver Charged in Clarington Off-Road Collision

The driver in a single vehicle collision that occurred in Clarington has been charged with impaired operation.

On Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at approximately 9:25 p.m., members from East Division responded to a single motor vehicle collision in the area of Clarington Concession Road 10 and Bowmanville Avenue. 

Two adult males were in a Dune Buggy on a dirt road trail when the driver lost control and the vehicle rolled over. The males were transported to local area hospitals before being air lifted to a Toronto-area trauma centre in serious life-threatening condition. Both have since been updated to stable condition. 

Logan RENTON, age 39 from Scugog is charged with: Impaired Operation of a Conveyance Cause Bodily Harm, and Impaired Operation of a Conveyance Cause Bodily Harm – Exceed.

He was released on an Undertaking.

Members of the DRPS – Collision Investigation Unit attended the scene to conduct an investigation. Speed is believed to be a factor in this collision, which is still under investigation.
