DRPS Launches the 37th Annual Food & Toy Drive
The Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) proudly launched the 37th Annual Food and Toy Drive on November 19, 2025 at Father Fenelon Catholic School in Pickering.
Chief Peter Moreira kicked off the celebration in a gym full of excited students, joined by Mini-Chief Advaita Paliwal. To help set the holiday spirit, the school choir sang holiday songs to build anticipation for the arrival of Santa himself.
This year, DRPS is encouraging residents and businesses across Durham Region to help make the 2025 Food and Toy Drive the biggest one yet. With the increased cost of living, the demand for food support is expected to be even higher.
The Food and Toy Drive helps families in need by providing food and toys throughout the holiday season. Through November and December, donations from individuals, local businesses and community partners are collected and distributed to families by community agencies. DRPS does not manage individual requests; all assistance is provided through these agencies.
