Durham Regional Police Service Launches Community Safety Data Portal
Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) is proud to announce the launch of the Community Safety Data Portal (CSDP), an online platform designed to support informed public dialogue and demonstrate the Service’s ongoing commitment to modern, accountable policing.
The CSDP gives the public access to a wide range of datasets and statistics through interactive maps and dashboards, while ensuring privacy and protecting the integrity of active investigations.
The launch of this online platform reflects DRPS’s dedication to strengthening public trust through transparency. By leveraging technology and expanding access to information through the data portal, DRPS aims to enhance public engagement and foster a joint approach to community safety.
“Effective, modern policing must be guided by the principles of innovation and collaboration,” said Police Chief Peter Moreira. “Making our data accessible welcomes new opportunities for community dialogue and reinforces our dedication to strengthening the trust between our Service and the community.”
