Fatal Collision in Pickering (2)

One male has died and another remains in life-threatening condition following a collision in Pickering.

On Friday, February 27, 2026, at approximately 8:05 p.m., members of West Division responded to a collision on Brock Road, north of Taunton Road. A Toyota sedan was travelling south on Brock Road, when it lost control and entered the northbound lanes, colliding with a GMC pick-up truck that was travelling northbound. The impact caused extensive damage to both vehicles. 
 
An 18-year-old male passenger in the Toyota was pronounced deceased on scene. A 21-year-old male passenger was ejected from the vehicle, and was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre where they remain in life-threatening condition. A 58-year-old male passenger and 42-year-old female driver were transported to a local-area hospital and remain in stable condition. 

The 56-year-old driver of the GMC pick-up was assessed on scene and did not require further medical attention. 

Members of the DRPS - Collision Investigation Unit, attended the scene to conduct an investigation. The area was closed for several hours while evidence was collected. This collision is still under investigation.
