Fatal Pedestrian Collision in Ajax

A 77-year-old male pedestrian suffered fatal injuries after a single vehicle collision in Ajax.

On Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at approximately 10:10 p.m., members of West Division responded to a pedestrian involved collision in the area of Westney Road South and Bramwell Drive. A 77-year-old male was crossing Westney Road South when they were struck by a southbound Hyundai sedan being driven by a 22-year-old female.

The pedestrian was transported to a Toronto-area hospital with serious life-threatening injuries where they were subsequently pronounced deceased. The driver of the Hyundai was not injured and remained on scene with police.

Members of the DRPS Collision Investigation Unit attended the scene to conduct an investigation. The cause of this collision remains under investigation.
