Female Arrested for Impaired After Collision in Whitby
A female is facing several charges after causing a collision while impaired near a school in Whitby.
On Friday, January 30, 2026, at approximately 3:50 p.m., members of Central West Division responded to a collision in the area of Fifewood Crescent and Fallingbrook Street. A grey Kia sedan collided with a parked white Hyundai sedan. Both vehicles were in the area to pick up children from a nearby public school. The driver of the Hyundai attempted to speak with the driver of the Kia, however the Kia fled the area.
Several witnesses reported that the driver of the Kia appeared impaired.
A short time later officers located the Kia at a nearby residence. The driver showed signs of impairment and was taken into custody without incident.
No persons involved in the collision suffered any physical injuries.
After completing two separate breath tests, the accused registered a blood alcohol level of 170 mg and 180 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood. The legal limit for alcohol consumption is 80 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood.
A 32-year-old female from Whitby is charged with: Operation While Impaired, Operation While Impaired – Exceed, Fail to Remain at Accident, and Dangerous Operation.
She was released on an Undertaking.
