Four Arrested for Firearm Possession in Oshawa
Four males are facing several charges for firearm possession in Oshawa.
On Sunday, March 1, 2026, at approximately 2:40 a.m., members of Central East Division responded to an armed person call in the area of Saguenay Avenue and Rideau Street. Police received reports of a male brandishing a firearm while standing in a group of people. Officers arrived on scene and located several individuals filming a music video in two vehicles. Officers removed all parties from the vehicles and located two firearms with loaded magazines.
At the time of his arrest, the 16-year-old male was already on conditions not to possess any weapons after being arrested for a similar offence earlier this year.
Dylon Tajay BARCLAY, age 19 from Whitby is charged with: Possession of a Firearm No Licence, Possession of Loaded Firearm, and Occupy Motor Vehicle with Firearm.
Juan Pablo Alejandro VILLATORO, age 20 from Clarington is charged with: Possession of a Firearm No Licence, Possession of Loaded Firearm, and Occupy Motor Vehicle with Firearm.
A 17-year-old male from Pickering is charged with: Possession of a Firearm No Licence, Possession of Loaded Firearm, and Occupy Motor Vehicle with Firearm.
A 16-year-old male from Oshawa is charged with: Possession of a Firearm No Licence, Possession of Loaded Firearm, Occupy Motor Vehicle with Firearm, and Fail to Comply with Undertaking.
VILLATORO and the 16-year-old male were held for a bail hearing. BARCLAY and the 17-year-old were released on an undertaking.
