Male Arrested After Armed Robbery at Gas Station in Oshawa
A male is facing charges after an armed robbery at a gas station in Oshawa.
On Friday, March 20, 2026, at approximately 11:00 p.m., members of Central East Division responded to an armed person call at the Petro Canada gas station located at 925 Simcoe Street North. A male entered the business and made threats with a knife toward employees while demanding cash. The suspect went behind the counter and stole money from the cash register before fleeing the area on foot.
Officers arrived on scene and located the suspect a short distance away. After a brief foot pursuit, the suspect was taken into custody.
At the time of his arrest, the suspect was already on conditions not to be in possession of any knives.
Nathan JEAN MICHEL, age 19 from Oshawa is charged with: Robbery, Disguise with Intent, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000, Assault Peace Officer, Obstruct Peace Officer, and Fail to Comply with Undertaking.
He was held for a bail hearing.
