Male Arrested After Assault with a Weapon at Restaurant in Pickering
A male is in custody after brandishing a knife and making threats at a restaurant in Pickering.
On Saturday, February 28, 2026, at approximately 2:50 a.m., members of West Division responded to a fight call at the Moxies Restaurant located at 1815 Liverpool Road. Two males were involved in a physical altercation inside of the restaurant when one of the males brandished a knife and swung it toward the victim. The suspect also made threats toward employees. Officers arrived on scene and located all parties separated. The suspect was identified and taken into custody without incident. A search of the suspect revealed a knife in his possession.
The victim and employees did not suffer any physical injuries.
Andrew Antoine BONITO, age 35 from Toronto is charged with: Assault with a Weapon, and Uttering Threats x2.
He was held for a bail hearing.
