Male Arrested After Collision in Scugog
A male is facing stolen vehicle charges after fleeing from a collision in Scugog.
On Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at approximately 12:50 a.m., members of North Division responded to a collision in the area of Lake Ridge Road and Regional Highway 47. Police arrived on scene and were informed that one of the drivers fled the area on foot.
A check of the male’s vehicle confirmed it had been stolen from the Toronto area.
Officers, with the assistance of the K9 Unit and Tactical Support Unit, searched the area and located the suspect hiding in a heavily wooded field, where he was taken into custody without incident.
Rolando CONCEPCION, age 54 of No Fixed Address is charged with: Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000, Drive Motor Vehicle While Suspended, Careless Driving, and Fail to Remain at Accident.
He was released on an Undertaking.
