Male Arrested After Firing Gun Inside Oshawa Residence

A male is in custody after shooting a handgun inside a residence in Oshawa.

On Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at approximately 7:00 p.m., members of East Division responded to an armed person call in the area of Beatrice Street East and Grandview Street North.  Homeowners located a bullet after hearing a loud bang from within the residence. Further investigation revealed a visiting male had fired a handgun inside the residence before fleeing the area on foot.

Officers identified the suspect and attended his residence, where he was taken into custody without incident.  Subsequently, a search warrant was executed at the suspect’s residence which located two handguns, a rifle, and ammunition.

No persons suffered any physical injuries.

Liam MILLER, age 21 from Oshawa is charged with: Careless Use of Firearm, Possess Restricted/Prohibited Firearm – No Licence, Possess Restricted/Prohibited Firearm Knowingly Not Holding Licence, and Possession of Restricted/Prohibited Firearm.

He was held for a bail hearing. 

This investigation is ongoing and additional charges are anticipated.
