Male Arrested After Stabbing in Bowmanville
A male is facing charges following a stabbing incident at a residence in Bowmanville.
On Friday, February 13, 2026, at approximately 6:50 a.m., members of East Division responded to an armed person call at a residence in the area of Liberty Street North and Carlisle Avenue. Two males were involved in a verbal altercation when one of the males brandished a knife and stabbed the victim. Officers arrived on scene and took the suspect into custody without incident. The victim was taken to a local-area hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Schools in the area were placed on a brief hold and secure due to their proximity to this incident. No students or staff were involved or connected to this incident in any way.
Liam James BROOKES, age 28 from Clarington is charged with: Assault with a Weapon, and Assault Cause Bodily Harm.
He was held for a bail hearing.
