Male Facing Firearm and Assault Charges After Investigation

A male is facing numerous firearm, drug and assault charges after an investigation.

In early October 2025, investigators commenced an investigation after receiving information about a male who, on multiple occasions assaulted and made threats with a firearm toward the victim.

On Saturday, October 25, 2025, members of the Offender Management Unit (OMU), located the suspect in the area of Steeles Avenue and Trafalgar Road in Halton Hills and took him into custody.  A firearm with a loaded prohibited extended 15-round magazine, and drugs were found in the suspect’s possession.

The suspect was also wanted on a relief of surety warrant stemming from similar violent incidents with another police service.

Keshon Christopher LESLIE, age 28 from Ajax is charged with numerous offences including: Assault x3, Forcible Confinement, Choke/Suffocate/Strangle x3, Point Firearm, Carry Concealed Weapon, Carry Concealed Prohibited Device, Possession of Prohibited/Restricted Firearm – No Licence, Possess Firearm with Altered Serial Number, Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime Under $5000, Occupy Motor Vehicle with Firearm, Possession of Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, and Fail to Comply with Release Order x8.

He was held for a bail hearing.
