Male In Critical Condition After E-Scooter Collision in Oshawa

A 58-year-old male operating an electric scooter suffered serious injuries after a collision with a vehicle in Oshawa. 

On Sunday, October 5, 2025, at approximately 7:15 p.m., members of Central East Division responded to a collision at Albert Street and Athol Street East. An electric scooter was travelling east on Athol Street when it collided with a vehicle making a right turn from Albert Street. The 58-year-old driver of the e-scooter was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre with life-threatening injuries where he remains in critical condition. 

Members of the DRPS - Collision Investigation Unit, attended the scene to conduct an investigation. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in this collision; however, it is still under investigation.
