Male in Custody After Drug Investigation in Ajax

A male is facing drug trafficking charges following an investigation in Ajax.

In September 2025, members of the West Division Crime Team began an investigation into a male suspected of trafficking drugs in Ajax.

On Thursday, October 16, 2025, members of the West Division Crime Team completed their investigation after executing a search warrant at a residence in Ajax.  The suspect male was located at the residence and taken into custody without incident.  A quantity of drugs was seized.

William David ESSUE, age 42 from Ajax is charged with: Possession of a Prohibited/Restricted Weapon, Possession Contrary to Order, Possession of Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (cocaine), Possession of Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (opioid), and Possession of Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (methamphetamine).

He was held for a bail hearing.
