Pedestrian in Life -Threatening Condition After Collision in Ajax
A pedestrian remains in critical life-threatening condition following a collision in Ajax.
On Thursday, January 22, 2026, at approximately 11:05 a.m., members of West Division responded to a collision involving a pedestrian at the intersection of Kingston Road West and Ritchie Avenue. A 57-year-old female pedestrian was struck by a pick-up truck while crossing the roadway on the west side of the intersection. The female was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre where she remains in life-threatening condition. The driver remained on scene and cooperated with police.
The area of the roadway was closed for several hours while evidence was collected. This collision is still under investigation.
