Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle in Ajax

A 50-year-old pedestrian has died after being struck by a vehicle in Ajax.

On Friday, October 31, 2025 at approximately 6:38 p.m., officers from West Division responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on Taunton Road East near Warner drive. A black Acura 4-door was eastbound on Taunton Road East at Warner Drive and struck a male pedestrian as he attempted to cross the roadway east of the intersection and not at the crosswalk.

The 50-year-old male pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the Acura was uninjured and remained on scene where she co-operated with police.

Members of the DRPS Collision Investigation Unit attended the scene to conduct an investigation. The roads in the area were closed for several hours while evidence was collected.
