Pedestrian Struck in Oshawa

An 81-year-old male suffered life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Oshawa.

On Sunday, November 2, 2025, at approximately 6:30 p.m., members of Central East Division responded to a collision at the intersection of Simcoe Street South and Mill Street. 

An 81-year-old male pedestrian was crossing Simcoe Street South within the crosswalk when he was struck by a southbound Chevrolet SUV travelling through the crosswalk on a green light. The pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to Toronto-area trauma centre.  His condition has since been upgraded to stable.

The 53-year-old male driver of the SUV did not sustain any injuries and remained on scene with police.

Members of the DRPS Collision Investigation Unit (CIU) attended the scene to conduct an investigation.  A portion of the roadway was closed for several hours while evidence was collected.
