Serious Injuries After Head-on Collision in Scugog

Two drivers are being treated for serious injuries following a head on collision in Scugog.

On Monday, January 12, 2026, at approximately 5:00 p.m., members of North Division responded to a collision in the area of Lake Ridge Road and Blue Mountain Road. A Ford hatchback was travelling southbound on Lake Ridge Road when it collided head-on with a Nissan SUV travelling northbound. Both drivers suffered serious injuries and had to be extricated from their vehicles. One driver was airlifted to a Toronto-area trauma centre where he remains in stable condition. The other driver was transported to a local-area hospital. 

Members of the DRPS - Collision Investigation Unit, attended the scene to conduct an investigation. The roadway was closed for several hours while evidence was collected. This collision is still under investigation.
