Suspect Sought After Shooting Leaves Victim
Police are searching for a suspect after a male was located suffering from a gunshot wound in Oshawa.
On Sunday, December 21, 2025, at approximately 6:05 a.m., members of Central East Division responded to an armed person call in the area of Simcoe Street North and Bond Street East. A male was located on the sidewalk suffering from a gunshot wound before being transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre in life-threatening condition.
The victim’s condition has since been upgraded to stable.
Investigators are requesting that any businesses in the area review their surveillance video systems for any possible footage of the incident. This investigation will be ongoing as investigators continue to canvas the area and speak with witnesses.
