Suspect Wanted After Using Counterfeit Currency in Whitby
A male suspect is wanted after using counterfeit currency to make a purchase in Whitby.
On Monday, November 3, 2025, a male attended the Home Depot, located at 1700 Victoria Street East, in Whitby, and used counterfeit US currency bills to make a purchase. The suspect later attended another Home Depot, located at 260 Kingston Road East, in Ajax, to return the purchased product for legitimate Canadian currency.
The suspect is described as: male, White, approximately 30-35 years-old, with a thin build, short brown hair, and trimmed facial hair. He was wearing a purple Bass Pro baseball hat, red/white letterman style jacket, dark-coloured pants, and black/white shoes.
