Three Arrested After Causing Disturbance in Whitby

Two male adults and one male youth are facing charges after causing a disturbance at a movie theatre in Whitby.

On Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at approximately 11:20 p.m., members of Central West Division responded to an armed person call at the Landmark Cinemas located at 75 Consumers Drive. Customers were forced to leave a movie theatre after several males yelled that someone was in possession of a firearm. Officers arrived on scene and were directed toward three males who had left the theatre.

Further investigation revealed that the males were creating social media content and had intentionally created a false disturbance to generate a reaction they could film.

No injuries were reported to police.

Fique Wamiq AYUB, age 23 from Ajax is charged with: Cause Disturbance, and Mischief.

Jaiden Joseph-Anthony MOSQUERA, age 23 from Ajax is charged with: Cause Disturbance, and Mischief.

A 17-year-old male from Ajax is charged with: Cause Disturbance, and Mischief.

All were released on an Undertaking.
