Three Vehicle Collision Leads to Serious Injuries in Beaverton
A 47-year-old female suffered serious life-altering injuries after a three-vehicle collision in Beaverton.
On Thursday, January 1, 2026, at approximately 3:00 a.m., members of North Division responded to a collision on Regional Road 23, north of Thorah Concession Road 2. A 47-year-old female stopped to assist a Dodge minivan that had left the roadway. While attempting to render assistance, the female was struck and pinned against her Dodge pick-up truck by a Mazda sedan travelling northbound on Regional Road 23. After striking the female and pick-up truck, the Mazda collided with the Dodge minivan, before coming to a stop in a ditch.
The 47-year-old female sustained significant life-altering injuries and was transported to a Toronto-area trauma center by Air ORNGE, where she remains in stable condition. The driver of the Mazda remained on scene and cooperated with police.
Members of the DRPS Collision Investigation Unit were notified and have since taken over the investigation. The cause of this collision remains under investigation.
