Three Youth Arrested After Armed Robbery in Ajax
Three youths have been arrested after an armed robbery in Ajax. Two of the youth were already on court-imposed conditions relating to previous robbery charges.
On Sunday, September 28, 2025, at approximately 11:50 p.m., members of West Division responded to a robbery at a Shoppers Drug Mart, located at 15 Westney Road North, Ajax. The masked suspects entered the store armed with hammers and baseball bats, then began smashing fragrance displays. The suspects stole a large quantity of perfume and fled the area in a vehicle prior to police arrival.
Minutes later, officers located the suspect vehicle travelling westbound on Highway 401. The vehicle was eventually stopped by police after attempting to flee and all three suspects were taken into custody.
Further investigation revealed the vehicle was stolen.
A 15-year-old male from Toronto is charged with: Fail to Comply with Undertaking x2; Fail to Comply with Sentence; Robbery with Offensive Weapon – Business; Possess Property Obtained By Crime Exceeding $5000; Disguise with Intent and Possess Weapon for the Purpose of Committing an Offence.
This suspect was recently sentenced to probation for a previous robbery, highlighting a troubling pattern of recidivism.
A 16-year-old male from Toronto is charged with several offences including: Fail to Comply with Release Order; Robbery with Offensive Weapon – Business; Possess Property Obtained by Crime Exceeding $5000; Fail to Stop for Police – Pursuit; Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance and Drive Motor Vehicle – No Valid License.
This suspect was recently charged and is out on bail for a previous robbery with a firearm.
A 16-year-old male from Toronto is charged with: Robbery with Offensive Weapon -Business; Possess Property Obtained By Crime Exceeding $5000; Disguise with Intent and Possess Weapon for the Purpose of Committing an Offence.
All were held for bail hearings.
