Two Suspects Face More than 90 Charges After Break-and-Enter Investigation
More than 90 charges have been filed against two suspects following a break-and-enter investigation that led to the recovery of a substantial amount of stolen property.
Beginning on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, members of West Division responded to a series of commercial break-and-enters that were linked to a small crime group. Investigators identified the suspects, who were responsible for committing several thefts, including vehicle and licence plate thefts, across the Greater Toronto Area.
On Friday, November 14, 2025, members of the West Division Crime Team observed the suspects operating a stolen vehicle. Both suspects exited the vehicle and attempted to flee the area on foot but were taken into custody.
As a result of this investigation, numerous stolen items were located, including: two pick-up trucks, a RV trailer, a large amount of designer sunglasses, contracting tools, beauty supplies, a large amount of vapes, jewelry, cell phones, several stolen licence plates, and numerous stolen car keys.
Charles DUGUAY, age 52 from Alexandria is charged with numerous offences including: Fail to Stop for Police, Break-and-Enter x4, Possession of Break-in Instruments x4, Disguise with Intent x4, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 x6, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 x6, Dangerous Operation, Mischief Under $5000, Possess Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, and Fail to Comply with Probation x9.
Michelle Elida WRIGHT, age 39 from Mississauga is charged with numerous offences including: Assault with Intent to Resist, Fail to Stop for Police, Break-and-Enter x4, Possession of Break-in Instruments x4, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 x6, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 x6, Dangerous Operation, Operation of a Conveyance While Prohibited x5, Mischief Under $5000, Possess Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, Fail to Comply with Release Order x12, and Fail to Comply with Probation x9.
Both were held for a bail hearing.
