UPDATE #2 - Male Succumbs to Injuries in Single Vehicle Collision in Ajax

The male involved in the single motor vehicle collision in Ajax has succumbed to his injuries.

On Tuesday September 16, 2025, at approximately 3:15 p.m., members from West Division were called to a single motor vehicle collision involving an e-scooter at Kitney Drive just north of Clements Road West in Ajax.

A male was riding a Segway Ninebot Kick Scooter Max G2 northbound along the east side of the roadway when he lost control and fell, causing him to hit his head. He wasn’t wearing a helmet and suffered a serious head injury as a result. He was transported to a local-area hospital in life threatening condition and then air lifted to a Toronto-area trauma centre.  He has since succumbed to his injuries.

Members of the DRPS - Collision Investigation Unit, attended the scene to conduct an investigation. This collision is still under investigation.
