UPDATE #2 – Suspect Arrested in Pickering Shooting

Police have arrested the 33-year-old male suspect wanted after a shooting in Pickering left two people in hospital with serious injuries.

On Saturday, August 16, 2025, at approximately 1:10 a.m., members from West Division were called to a parking lot in the area of Liverpool Road and Kingston Road for reports of shots being fired. Officers arrived on scene and located two people suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre.

Mahiban PERINBANATHAN, age 33, of Bradford is facing numerous charges including: Aggravated Assault x2; Possess Restricted/Prohibited Firearm no Licence or RegistrationPossess Weapon – Dangerous to Public Peace and Discharge Firearm with Intent to Wound.
