Youth and Adult Arrested After Armed Robbery in Oshawa

A youth and adult male are in custody after an armed street level robbery in Oshawa.

On Monday, September 29, 2025, at approximately 7:20 p.m., members of Central East Division responded to an armed person call in the area of Albert Street and Fisher Street.  A 19-year-old and 17-year-old male met with the victim to purchase a bb-gun.  When the victim showed the suspects the bb-gun, the suspects made threats with a firearm and a large knife before stealing the bb-gun and fleeing.

Officers searched the area and located both suspects, who were taken into custody without incident.  Further investigation revealed the firearm used during the robbery to be an imitation weapon.

The victim did not sustain any physical injuries.

Brandon SANDERS, age 19 from Oshawa is charged with: Robbery, Pointing a Firearm, Use of a Firearm During the Commission of an Offence, Possess Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000, and Possess Weapon Dangerous to Public. 

A 17-year-old male from Whitby is charged with: Robbery, Disguise with Intent, Possess Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000, and Possess Weapon Dangerous to Public.

Both were held for a bail hearing.
