Police Request the Public’s Assistance in Identifying Vehicle and Female
Police are looking for any information related to a female who was directed into a suspicious vehicle in Whitby.
On Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at approximately 4:00 p.m., a female was observed walking north on Cochrane Street, in the area of Cochrane Street and Beech Street West in Whitby, when a suspicious vehicle pulled into a residential driveway and blocked her path on the sidewalk. The female was seen entering the truck after being directed by a male who exited the vehicle's rear cab.
The female is described as: White, 20-25 years-old, wearing all black clothing.
The vehicle is described as: a black 4-door Chevrolet pick-up truck.

Anyone that was in the area between 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., with cellphone, dash cam, surveillance footage, or any information about this incident is asked to contact D/Cst. Careen of the Central West Division Criminal Investigations Branch at 1-888-579-1520 x 1805.
