Selection Process
1) Application review
2) Interviews
The Recruiting Unit schedules interviews with selected candidates. After interviews, selected candidates move to the psychological evaluation stage.
3) Psychological evaluation
All experienced officer candidates in the background investigation stage must complete a psychological assessment. The psychologist’s assessment is confidential.
3) Police background investigation
A comprehensive background investigation is conducted on selected candidates. We verify the information you provided in your application, along with any additional information you share during the selection process.
5) Conditional offer
We make a conditional offer of employment.
6) Medical examination
Subject to successfully completing a medical examination with an approved physician, you will receive your final offer.
