2026 East Division Hosts Community Safety Day
DRPS' East Division hosted their annual Community Safety Day on September 20th at Garnet B Rickard in Bowmanville.
Community members had an opportunity to tour vehicles and displays from units such as our Marine Unit, Forensic Identification, and tour our UTV, DRPS’ light armored vehicle, several police cruisers, and other emergency service vehicles.
Thank you to all residents who attended and spent time learning about policing, fire services and paramedic services - we hope you enjoyed meeting members from our organizations.
A special thanks to the DRPS' specialty units and members who volunteered their time to make this event a huge success. Our very own DRPS Pipes & Drums also put on a show stopping performance for the crowd.
Thanks to our community safety partners Region of Durham Paramedics, Clarington Emergency and Fire Services, Municipality of Clarington, Ontario Power Generation and Boston Pizza Bowmanville that helped make the day a success.
