Central West Division Hosts Community Safety Day
On September 12, 2026 DRPS' Central West Division hosted their 2026 Community Safety Day, which saw hundreds of attendees come out and enjoy various activities.
Community members had an opportunity to tour vehicles and displays from units such as our K9 Unit, Traffic Services, Marine Unit, Forensic Identification, and tour DRPS’ light armored vehicle, several police cruisers, and other emergency service vehicles.
Thank you to all residents who attended and spent time learning about policing, and other first responders.
A special thanks to the DRPS' specialty units, DRPS' Youth in Policing program and members who volunteered their time to make this event a huge success. Our very own DRPS Pipes & Drums also put on a show stopping performance for the crowd.
