Fatal collision involving Wheelchair accessible van in Ajax

Male succumbs to injuries after collision in Ajax.  

On Monday, September 14, 2026, at approximately 4:35 p.m., members of West Division responded to a collision in the area of Bayly Street East and Clayton Road. Officers attended for a report of a wheelchair accessible taxi being involved in a collision with another motor vehicle. A passenger in the wheelchair accessible taxi was seriously injured as a result of the collision and transported to a Toronto-area hospital. 

The 65-year-old male was pronounced deceased at the hospital as result of this collision.

Members of the DRPS Traffic Services Branch, Collision Investigation Unit, attended the scene to investigate.
