Female Arrested After Stabbing in Oshawa (2)
A female is facing charges after stabbing another female multiple times during a road rage altercation in Oshawa.
On Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at approximately 7:20 p.m., members of Central East Division responded to a stabbing in the area of Lakeview Park and Simcoe Street. A 53-year-old female was involved in a road rage altercation with a 20-year-old male and 19-year-old female. The 20-year-old male and 19-year-old female deployed bear spray after the 53-year-old suspect brandished a knife. The suspect subsequently stabbed the female multiple times before fleeing the area. Officers arrived on scene and provided medical care before the victim was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre in serious but stable condition.
A short time later officers located the suspect and took her into custody without incident.
Arlene Sophia MOORE, age 53 is charged with: Aggravated Assault, Assault with a Weapon x2, and Possess Weapon Dangerous.
She was held for a bail hearing.
